Ghanaian entrepreneur and Global Shea Butter Ambassador, Hamamat Montia, says what IShowSpeed and the world witnessed was far more than entertainment, it was a powerful display of Ghana’s heritage.

Speaking as she acknowledged her role as Shea Butter Ambassador, she explained that the moment carried deep meaning beyond its viral appeal.

“That moment wasn’t just viral, it was symbolic,” she said. “It showed the world the power, beauty, and dignity of African tradition. What people saw wasn’t performance for the internet, it was our heritage, lived and expressed.”

Hamamat emphasized that if Ghana truly commits to promoting its natural resources and cultural industries, the country has the potential to become a global skincare hub.

“If we genuinely choose Ghana, Ghana can become a global center for skincare,” she said. “Shea butter and black soap alone can create thousands of jobs. The world already consumes these products in huge numbers.”

She added that the response since the moment went viral has been overwhelming.

“To be honest, we are overwhelmed. We’re receiving calls from all over the world. Our spa is fully booked, and we can’t even meet the current demand. That’s why we’re calling for partnerships and support because this is what Ghana represents.”

According to her, the global spotlight is already on Ghana, and preparation is key.

“The world is watching us. And if we prepare ourselves well, we can confidently serve a global audience,” she added.
